Profile
Kelvin L. Roots joined the firm in 1981 after graduating cum laude with a B.A. from DePauw University in 1976 and cum laude from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 1981. His practice focuses on general business matters, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, real estate, and title insurance. Kelvin is also part of the team of real estate professionals within the firm providing title insurance and real estate closing services.

Kelvin has been a speaker at seminars on bankruptcy, collections, and title insurance and serves as Chair on the governing council of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. A licensed pilot, he also combines his passion for flying his with service on the Aviation Committee of the State Bar Association and membership in the local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Kelvin is a father of two grown children who spends weekends with his wife, Jane, shooting trap and sporting clays.
